Informational:  Ordinance No. 1999-2022 made the following changes:

• Removal of exemption for Vacant Lots and Commercial
• Change in renewal to annual
• Change in fee $500 Occupied/$2,000 Vacant
• Added a late fee

Properties registered 6 months or more prior to the amendment have 30 days to renew the registration. Properties registered less than 6 months will renew the registration upon expiration of the current registration and register every 12 months thereafter.

Per NJ State Statute 40:48-2.12s b. (1) the creditor filing the summons and complaint in an action to foreclose that is located out-of-State is responsible for providing an in-State representative.  to be responsible for the care, maintenance, security, and upkeep of the exterior of the property.

The PM and/or LA can be the same individual or organization.
